Ο Δρ Ιωάννης Παναπακίδης έλαβε Δίπλωμα Ηλεκτρολόγου Μηχανικού και Μηχανικού Η/Υ από το Δημοκρίτειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θράκης (ΔΠΘ) και Διδακτορικό τίτλο σπουδών από το Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης (ΑΠΘ). Από το 2009 έως σήμερα είναι Επιστημονικός Συνεργάτης στο Τμήμα Ηλεκτρολόγων Μηχανικών Τ.Ε. του ΤΕΙ Θεσσαλίας.
Τα ερευνητικά ενδιαφέροντα του αφορούν κυρίως τα πεδία της Μοντελοποίησης των Καταναλωτών Ηλεκτρικής Ενέργειας, της Διαχείρισης της Ηλεκτρικής Ζήτησης και της Ενεργειακής Πολιτικής. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε ερευνητικά προγράμματα ως μέλος της ερευνητικής ομάδας του Εργαστηρίου Συστημάτων Ηλεκτρικής Ενέργειας του ΑΠΘ. Κατά τις περιόδους 2007-2009 και 2010-2013 διετέλεσε μέλος της Μόνιμης Επιτροπής Ενέργειας του Τμήματος Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας του Τεχνικού Επιμελητηρίου Ελλάδος
Έχει συγγράψει 29 επιστημονικά άρθρα που δημοσιεύτηκαν σε περιοδικά και σε πρακτικά διεθνών συνεδρίων. Είναι μέλος του Τεχνικού Επιμελητηρίου Ελλάδος, του Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, του The Institution of Engineering and Technology και του Council on Large Electric Systems.
Dr Ioannis Panapakidis received a diploma in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from Democritus University of Thrace (D.U.T.H.) and a Ph.D. degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.T.H.). Currently he is Scientific Associate in the Electrical Engineering Department of the Technological Educational Institute of Thessaly (Larissa, Greece).
His research interests lie primarily in the fields of electrical consumers modelling, demand side management and energy policy. He has participated in research projects run by the Electric Power Division of A.U.T.H. During the periods 2007-2009 and 2010-2013 he has been a member of Permanent Committee of Energy of the Technical Chamber of Greece, Section of Central Macedonia.
He has authored 29 scientific papers published in international journals and conference proceedings. He is member of the Technical Chamber of Greece, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, The Institution of Engineering and Technology and the Council on Large Electric Systems.
